Marathon canceled - during Rimi Riga Marathon and Rimi Riga Marathon Children's Day, there will be changes in some public transport routes
"Rīgas satiksme" informs that due to Rimi Riga marathon from October 10 at 14:50 for about 50 minutes and on October 11 from about 7:15 until the closing of the running track there will be changes in several public transport routes. Several routes will be closed during the event.
On Saturday, October 10, during Rimi Riga Marathon Children's Day, from 14:50 for about 50 minutes, the following changes are planned on some public transport routes:
BUSES
Route 13 buses will run from Babīte station along the route to Daugavgrīvas Street, further along Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa Dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, Akmens Bridge, 11 November embankment, 13. janvāra Street, Marijas Street, Elizabetes Street, Ernesta Birznieka-Upīša Street, Lāčplēša Street, Avotu Street and further will continue along the route. From "Preču-2" buses will run along the route to Avotu Street, further along Avotu Street, Lāčplēša Street, Ernesta Birznieka-Upīša Street, Dzirnavu Street, Satekles Street, Merķeļa Street, Brīvības Boulevard, Raina Boulevard, 13. janvāra Street, 11. November embankment, Akmens bridge, Uzvaras boulevard, Raņķa dambis, Daugavgrīvas street and further along the route.

Trolleybuses on routes 5, 25 will run from Pauls Stradiņš Hospital and Ilguciems along the route to Kalnciema Street, further along Kalnciema Street, Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa Dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, Akmens Bridge, 11 November embankment, 13 Janvāra Street, Merķeļa Street, Kalpaka boulevards, Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street and further along the routes. From Daugava Stadium and Brīvības Street, trolleybuses will run along the route to Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, further along Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, Raina Boulevard, 13 Janvāra Street, 11 November embankment, Akmens Bridge, Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street, Kalnciema Street and further along the routes.

From Šmerlis, trolleybuses will run along the route to Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, further along Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, Raina Boulevard, 13 Janvāra Street, 11 November embankment, Akmens Bridge, Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street, Kalnciema Street and further along the route.
TRAMS
Route 5 trams will run from Ilguciems along the route to 13 Janvāra Street, further along Prāgas Street, Centrāltirgus Street, Maskavas Street, 11 November embankment and back along the route to Ilguciems. The route from Milgrāvis end stop will be closed.
Route 7 trams 7 will run from Ķengarags along the route to Aspazijas boulevard, further along Aspazijas boulevard, Krišjāņa Barona Street, Radio Street, 13. janvāra Street and back along the route to Ķengarags. The route from Ausekļa Street will be closed.
Route 11 trams will run from Mežaparks to Stacijas Square (Radio Street) and back to Mežaparks. The route from Ausekļa Street will be closed.
On Sunday, October 11, from approximately 7:15 until closing of the running track, changes in some public transport routes are planned. Please note that traffic regulation during the event will be performed by the State Police and changes may be made if necessary. During Rimi Riga marathon, approximately after 7:30, when the participants start, the movement of buses and trolleybuses in Brīvības Street at intersection with Stabu Street and Bruņinieku Street will be temporarily stopped. Passengers who have purchased and use monthly tickets purchased for bus, trolleybus and tram routes which during Rimi Riga Marathon on October 11 will be closed, may use them on other bus, trolleybus and tram routes without registering the trip.
BUSES
Buses of routes 1, 6 and 9 will run to the center of Riga along the route to Stabu Street, further along Stabu Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Elizabetes Street, Satekles Street, Dzirnavu and further along the route. From Riga city center, buses will run along the route to Satekles Street, further along Satekles Street, Marijas Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Brīvības Street and further along the route. Route 1 bus stop “K. Barona Street” in Brīvības Street (in the direction to the city center) from 7:15 to 11:30 will be closed.
Buses on routes 2, 11 and 24 will run to the center of Riga along the route to Tilta Street, further along Tilta Street, Duntes Street, Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, Stabu Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Gogoļa Street and further along the route. From Riga city center, buses will run along the route to Marijas Street, further along Marijas Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, Duntes Street, Tilta Street and further along the route.
Route 3 buses during the event, from Pļavnieki will run along the route to Stabu Street, along Stabu Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Marijas Street, 13 Janvāra Street and further along the route.
Coming from the destination "Daugavgriva" the following route changes are planned:
- From about 7:15 to about 8:45 and from about 14:30 to about 16:30, the buses will run from Daugavgrīva to Marijas Street, further along Marijas Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Brīvības Street and further along the route.
- From about 8:45 to about 14:30 the buses will run from Daugavgrīvas to Daugavgrīvas Street, further along Daugavgrīvas Street, Lidoņu Street, Dzirciema Street, Jūrmalas gatve, Slokas Street, Uzvaras Boulevard, further along the route to Marijas Street, along Marijas Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Brīvības street and further along the route.

Route 21 buses will run from Imanta to Marijas Street, further along Marijas Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Brīvības Street and further along the route. Buses to Imanta will run along the route to Brīvības Street, further along Brīvības Street, Stabu Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Marijas Street, 13. janvāra Street and further along the route. Stop „K. Barona Street” in Brīvības Street (in the direction to the city center) from 7:15 to 11:30 will be closed.
Buses 22, 32 and 43 from around 9:00 will run in the direction of Abrenes Street along the route to Kalnciema Street, further along Kalnciema Street, Slokas Street, Uzvaras Boulevard and further along the route. Stop "Kalnciema Street" in Slokas Street (in the direction to the city) from about 9:00 to about 15:00 will be closed.
Route 23 buses from around 9:00 to the direction of Baloži, will run along the route to Akmens Bridge, further along Akmens Bridge, Uzvaras Boulevard, Valguma Street, Akmeņu Street, Jelgavas Street and further along the route.
Buses 10, 26 from about 9:00 in the direction of Jaunmārupe and Katlakalns will run along the route to Akmens bridge, further along Akmens bridge, Uzvaras boulevard, Valguma street, Akmeņu street, Mūkusalas street and further along the route.
Buses 37, 41 will run from Imanta along the route to Slokas Street, further along Slokas Street, Uzvaras Boulevard, Akmens Bridge, 11 November embankment, 13 Janvāra Street, Merķeļa Street, Inženiera Street to the 15th trolleybus stop “Latvijas Universitāte”. Buses to Imanta will run along Inženiera Street, Raina Boulevard, 13 Janvāra Street, 11 November embankment, Akmens Bridge, Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street and further along the route.
Route 48 buses starting at 6:55 from Pļavnieki cemetery will run from Pļavnieki cemetery along the route to Struktoru Street, further along Struktoru Street, Brīvības gatve, Viļa Ģelbes Street, Biķernieku Street and back along the route to Pļavnieki Cemetery. The route from Sarkandaugava will be closed. The first trip along the main route from Pļavnieki cemetery is planned at 9:29, while from Sarkandaugava at 10:26.
Route 50 buses will run to the center of Riga along the route to Avotu Street, further along Avotu Street, Matīsa Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Gogoļa Street and further along the route. From TEC 2 buses will run along the route to Marijas Street, further along Marijas Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Stabu Street and further along the route.
Route 53 buses will run from Zolitūde along the route to Kalnciema Street, further along Kalnciema Street, Slokas Street, Uzvaras Boulevard, Akmens Bridge, 11 November embankment, 13 Janvāra Street, Merķeļa Street, Inženiera Street to the 15th route trolleybus stop “Latvijas Universitāte”. Bus route 57 is closed during the event.
Bus of 58 route will be closed till 9:15. The first trip from stop "Vaidavas Street" is planned at 9:15, while from the dispatching point "Vecmīlgrāvis" at 10:15.
Along with the above, on October 11, from 7:15 to 11:30, when the movement to the Gaisa Bridge is disrupted, buses of routes 1, 14, 16 and 21 from the stop "Gustava Zemgala gatve" will run along the tram track and passengers will be picked up at the tram stop "VEF".
TROLLEYBUSES
Trolleybus route 1 is closed during the event.
Route 3 trolleybuses will run from the Central Market along the route to Marijas Street, further along Marijas Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street and further along the route. From Sarkandaugava and from Kundziņsala, trolleybuses will run along the route to Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, further along Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, Stabu Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Gogoļa Street and further along the route.
Route 4 trolleybuses will run from Jugla along the route to Brīvības Street, further along Brīvības Street, Stabu Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Gogoļa Street and further along the route. From Ziepniekkalns, trolleybuses will run along the route to Marijas Street, further along Marijas Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Brīvības Street and further along the route. Stop „K. Barona Street” in Brīvības Street (in the direction to the city center) from 7:15 to 11:30 will be closed.
Trolleybus route 5 is closed during the event.
Route 9 trolleybuses will run from the Station Square along the route to Uzvaras Boulevard, further along Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street, Kalnciema Street, Baložu Street and further along the route. From Ilguciems trolleybuses will run along the route to Kalnciema Street, further along Kalnciema Street, Slokas Street, Uzvaras Boulevard and further along the route. Stop "Kalnciema Street" in Slokas Street (in the direction of the city) from about 9:00 to about 15:00 will be closed. On the 9th trolleybus route, the traffic intensity will increase during the event.
Trolleybuses of route 12 will run from Šmerlis along the route to Brīvības Street, further along Brīvības Street, Stabu Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Marijas Street, 13. janvāra Street, 11 November Embankment, Akmens Bridge, Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street, Kalnciema Street, Baložu Street and further along the route. From Āgenskalna priedes, trolleybuses will run along the route to Kalnciema Street, further along Kalnciema Street, Slokas Street, Uzvaras Boulevard, Akmens Bridge, 11 November embankment, 13. janvāra Street, Marijas Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Brīvības Street and further along the route. Stop „K. Barona Street” in Brīvības Street (in the direction to the city center) from 7:15 to 11:30 will be closed. The stop "Kalnciema Street" in Slokas Street (in the direction of Āgenskalns pines) will be closed from about 9:00 to about 15:00.

Trolleybuses of route 14 will run from Mežciems along the route to Brīvības Street, further along Brīvības Street, Stabu Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Elizabetes Street, Satekles Street to the stop "Central Station" (destination of trolleybus 23). In the direction of destination "Mežciems", trolleybuses will run along Satekles Street, Marijas Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Brīvības Street and further along the route. Stop „K. Barona Street” in Brīvības Street (in the direction to the city center) from 7:15 to 11:30 will be closed.
Trolleybuses of route 17 will run from Purvciems along the route to Brīvības Street, further along Brīvības Street, Stabu Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Elizabetes Street, Satekles Street to the stop "Central Station" (destination of trolleybus 23). In the direction of Purvciems, trolleybuses will run along Satekles Street, Marijas Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Brīvības Street and further along the route. The stop "Central Station" on Raiņa Boulevard (near the tunnel) is closed during the marathon. In turn, the stop “K. Barona Street” in Brīvības Street (in the direction to the city center) from 7:15 to 11:30 will be closed.
Trolleybuses of route 19 will run from Inženieru Street to Ziepniekkalns dispatcher point. The stop "Ziepniekkalns" (trolleybus 19 destination) is closed during the marathon. Coming from the University of Latvia, trolleybuses will stop at the trolleybus 15 stop "Central Station" on Raiņa Boulevard. In turn, trolleybuses will not stop at the stop "Central Station" along the trolleybus route 3 and 19 (at the tunnel).
The trolleybus route 25 is closed during the event.
Route 27 trolleybuses from about 9:00 will run from Stacijas Square to Ziepniekkalns along Akmens Bridge, Uzvaras Boulevard, Valguma Street, Akmeņu Street, Mūkusalas Street and further along the route. On Uzvaras Boulevard, trolleybuses will drive along the tram track and will stop at the tram stop "Nacionālā bibliotēka". The stop "Nacionālā bibliotēka" on Mūkusalas Street (in the direction to the city) will be closed.
Along with the above, on October 11, the driving directions of several trolleybuses are changed when running to/from the trolleybus park. From 7:15 to 11:30, when traffic on the Gaisa Bridge is disrupted, trolleybuses on routes 4, 12, 13, 14 and 17 will run from the stop "Gustava Zemgala gatve" along the tram track and will pick up passengers at the tram stop "VEF".
TRAMS
Route 5 trams from around 8:30 to about 15:30 will run from Ilguciems along the route to 13 Janvāra Street, further along Prāgas Street, Centrāltirgus Street, Maskavas Street, 11 November embankment and back along the route to Iļģuciems. The route from Milgrāvis end stop will be closed.
Route 7 trams from around 8:30 to about 15:30 will run from Ķengarags along the route to Aspazijas boulevard, further along Aspazijas boulevard, Krišjāņa Barona street, Radio street, 13. janvāra street and back along the route to Ķengarags. The route from Ausekļa Street will be closed.
Route 11 trams from around 8:30 to about 15:30 will run from Mežaparks to Stacijas Square (Radio Street) and back to Mežaparks. The route from Ausekļa Street will be closed.
EXPRESS BUSES
Express buses on route 300 will run to the center of Riga along the route to Stabu Street, further along Stabu Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Marijas Street and further along the route. From Riga city center, express buses will run along Marijas Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street and further along the route.
